The Alice is busy loading for New York with a full cargo of gum. There is no change in values in the local market. The monthly sale of gnjn,in London last Thursday, however, shows t ,that prices of threequarter scraped and other grades are higher. The cablegram quotes threequarter scraped at 9Ss. This information is fully confirmed by private cable. Black is accumulating, and buyers expect to get this grade at a lower iigure. liescraped is very scarce. Supplies for the 19 days of January total 306 tons. Since last report 158 tons have come to hand. We quote : —■ Poor ordinary £38 to £45 Fair ordinary £50 to £60 Good ordinary... ... ... £65 to £75 Superior ordinary ... ... £75 to £S4 East Coast ... ... ... £72 Rescraped £90 to £100 Good rescraped £110 up
