THE SILVERSTREAM.
The barque silverstream. arrived from Algoa Bay in ballast this morning, anchoring out in the stream. Mr Allen, the chief officer, reports that the vessel left Algoa Bay on the 21st November, and proceeded to Otago Heads for orders, arriving there on the 4th of January. Received orders to come up to Auckland and left the same day. Strong westerly gales with heavy seas prevailed on the trip from
Algoa Bay to Qtago, thence to East Cape, which was passed on the 9th inst., southerly winds were experienced, tlience to arrival westerly winds and head seas prevailed. The , Silvevstream will be berthed at the Queen-street Wharf tomorrow morning, and will load for London under the auspices of the New Zealand Shipping Company.
