Captain Edwin reports:—Wind between north and west and south-west at all places during next ten hours, but changing to between north-west and north and west at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth. After that time barometer further fall everywhere, but rising at all places north of Napier and New Plymouth. After ten hours sea heavy on western coast after 16 hours, increasing on east coast south of Napier. Tides good on all western coast, high on east coast south of Napier. Northerly gales are to be expected at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth after from 12 to 20 hours, and probably rain in the South Island.
