Water Consumers are notified that, in view of the extraordinary consumption, it has become necessary to warn Consumers to be as careful as possible not to waste any water, or use it for other than strictly domestic use, which it is believed. is being done by many; and the Board hereby warn all whom it may concern that the District By-laws provide penalties for such offences; also for supplying water to persons not paying water rates, or permitting such persons to take water from premises supplied with same. All defects in taps or pipes, causing waste of water should be reported immediately to the Inspector, or at the Office of the Board. No hose attachments are permitted except under a meter supply. Notice is also given that all Consumers' Rates for the ensuing half-year are due on the 31st instant, and should be paid at the Office of the Board on or before that date, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon By order of the Board.
