THE STAR OF VICTORIA.
The Tyser liner Star of Victoria armed yesterday afternoon from London, via Melbourne and Sydney. Mr Campbell, the second officer, reports .-—The Star of Victoria left London on October 22nd ; called at Las Palmas for coal, and arrived at Melbourne on the 10th inst. Discharged cargo and left on the 14th, reaching Sydney on the 17th. Resumed the voyage on the 22nd, passed the Three Kings at 7 p.m. on the 26th, Cape Brett at 7 a.m. yesterday ; arriving in port at (J p. in. Capta n Hart" is in command, and has with him the following officers : Chief, Mr Willis ; second, Mr Campbell; third, Mr Beck ; fourth, Mr Clayton. The engine department is under the control of Mr Cowan, who has associated with him—second, Mr Murdoch ; third, Mr Gillespie; fourth, Mr Power ; refrigerating engineers, Messrs Ross and Porteou.s. The vessel has about 3,000 tons of cargo, about 1,800 tons general cargo. She leaves for South on Saturday next, thence proceeding to Wanganui, Gisborne, Napier, and Wellington, leaving the latter port for London about January 20th. She is expected to arrive in London in time for the March wool sales. Mr A. 11. Nathan is the local agent.
