SCHOOL PRIZE DISTRIBUTIONS.

ONEHUNGA CATHOLIC SCHOOL. His Lordship Bishop Lenihan, accompanied by a number of clergy, paid a visit to Onehunga yesterday for the purpose of distributing the prizes at the annual " brcak-ing-up ' of the Onehunga Catholic School. The proceedings commenced at the boys' school, and were very successful. The exhibition of the scholars' work opened at two o'clock this afternoon, and the prizes were distributed by His Lordship during the afternoon. Musical selections and a drama were capably rendered by the scholars. A large number of parents and friends attended to witness the proceedings, and the specimens of the pupils' handiwork placed on exhibition were all duly admired. The Bishop was very happy in ids remarks upon the excellent work done by both teachers and scholars during the year. REMUERA PUBLIC SCHOOL. The pleasing function of presenting prizes for the year took place at the Remuera school yesterday morning. In the unavoidable absence of the Chairman, Mr Lennox, the prizes were distributed by Mr T. Finlayson, who in felicitous and appropriate form gave the young folks excellent advice. The proceedings were brought to a close by three cheers being given for the head teac \er, the staff, and Mr Finlayson.
