£1,730 lis 3d FROM 572 TONS.
During the past month the quantity of ore treated at this Company's battery was not so large as usual owing to scarcity of water in the Waitawheta River. The value of the ore treated was, however, up to the average, being a little oyer £3 per ton. The amount of Ore treated during 25 days was 572 tons, which returned bullion worth £1,730 lis 3d. In respect of the crushing now proceeding 160 tons of ore are under treatment of the average assay value of £3 18s per ton. For the four months the battery has been running this Company's output of bullion has been £12,499 15s. The present return, unfortunately, came to hand too late to be added to the list appearing in the summary.
