LATE SHIPPING.
May Howard, schooner, Champion, from Norfolk Island. Passengers : Misses Quintall (2), B. Champion, Waterhouse, Mesdames Stanley McCoy, Quintall, Messrs G. Evans,' Christian, Adams (2), Snell, and Champion. THE MAY HOWARD. The schooner May Howard arrived from Noumea and Norfolk Island this afternoon, with a full cargo of fruit and onions. She left Norfolk Island on the 6th inst., and had strong easterly winds for the first five days. The wind then died away, and light airs were experienced. The North Cape i was sighted on the 16th inst. Down the coast light, variable winds prevailed, the i vessel arriving as above. She will begin j the discharge of her cargo to-morrow.
I Lyttelton, December 23. — Arrived I Eliza Firth, schooner, from Kaipara, 1 Sailed : Akaroa, barque, for London.
