OUR GOLDFIELDS.
ALBERT. A special general meeting of the shareholders in the Albert G.M. Company Avas held on Friday afternoon in the Company's office, Insurance Buildings. The meeting Avas called to give the directors power to dispose of the property as they thought fit. The terms of the option proposed to be accepted were thought to be unfavourable to the shareholders, and the iesolution giving the directors power to grant the option Avas negatived. LA MASCOTTE. The last of the papers in connection with the above Company's option were forwarded to London by the 'Frisco mail. This mine is situated at Wharekiraupunga, not far from the English Company Royal Standard, and is believed to be in the same line of reef. The option is a twelve months' working option, and Avith English capital to develop this property it should soon prove one of the future dividend paying mines of the field.
