The first statutory meeting of the Ralph's Taupiri Coal Mines (Limited) was held this morning. The report of ■ the directors states that nearly 30,000 shares have been subscribed for, and over 300 names are on the share list. The company anticipate commencing operations after the termination of the lease held by the Taupiri Companies, which expires on May 3rd next. Our report is unavoidaly held over. Last week of' Ernest Moore's .gift sale, Palmer's stock : Men's strong tweed suits reduced from 25s 6d to 15s lid.—(Advt.)
