HOURS OF LABOUR.
LONDON, November 24.
Sir Matthew White Ridley, replying to a dsputation of trades unionists discouraged icgislative inquiry into the hours of domestic servants. He also said there was no concensus of opinion relative to the early closing of shops. Possibly the local authorities would solve the difficulty.
