SEDITION IN INDIA.
REDUCTION OF SENTENCES.
CALCUTTA, November 24. The Indian Appeal Court has given a decision in regard to the case of Kishaltar, editor of the " Mahraui," a native journal published at Satar, Bombay. The prisoner was sentenced to transportation for life for publishing a seditious article headed, " Preparations For Becoming Independent." The Court reduced the sentence to one year's imprisonment. In the case of Harmolker, publisher of the journal, who was sentencec to seven years' imprisonment, the Court reduced the sentence to three months.
