The Board conferred this morning in private with Mr E. W. Alison (representing the Cleveland Steam Navigation Company) Mr Hoskins (Onelutnga and Waiuku-GiM. Company) and Mr Parker, owner of the Invincible and Waitoa. Ultimately the .proceedings were adjourned in order to. allow time for the representatives of employers to confer with their directors with a view to arriving at a mutual basis of settlement. The result will then be submitted to the Board at a meeting, to be held for that purpose at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. In the morning the Board will meet at 10 o'clock to consider the LiyK«.n<i and O'Brien Company's case, aKti-qJ) i 0.36 that in which the Northern s.s. and other Shipping. Companies are coawrned will be further dealt with.
