Mr Battens, manager of the Kapanga ffime, has visited the above property, inWed the reef, and expresses himself T, ep' pleased with the outlook. He confers it will prove average grade lode of ?wd quality, which means a great deal in a «r»ebodyof quartz. Gold seems to be eT«ily distributed throughout the stone, |M should run £3 per oz. The reef is so ™ exposed only at the outcrop, but the ttaracter of the country is such that it 'bould maintain all its present qualities at a <lepth. The spur on which the reef outjfops at the ridge is almost vertical, and toe whole can be inexpensively mined.
