There is every prospect of fine weather for the races to-day although the sky is cloudy. The city i.s thronged with people this morning and it is anticipated the attendance on the course will exceed last year's record.
WELLINGTON, this day.
The weather for the holiday is perfect and the early trains to the country were crowded. The principal attraction in the city is the labour sports, while the Otaki and Carterton race meetings are attracting large numbers of excursionists from Wellington. ...
