The ,N.Z. Farmer' in Tasmania. — Mr Eobt. Blackwood, of Lower Bar-ring-ton, Tasmania, writes: —'I am much pleased with the 'Farmer.' I have been taking several American papers, but the conditions of season and climate are so different that their practices in farming1 don't suit out here. Your New Zealand conditions are much nearer ours, and your practice more suitable. I see we can learn much from your style of root growingl and stock feeding-, clover and. grasses; also in stock breeding of all kinds. Your settlers seem a very energetic and successful class, and you have a fine country and climate.'
