PERCEVAL RE-APPOINTED
AGENT - GENERAL.
HOBART, this day.
Sir Westby Perceval has been reappointed Agent-General for a further term of twelve months.
In the Legislative Assembly the Premier stated that the appointment would only be renewed yearly until it was shown that federation may not be expected within a reasonable time.
The Opposition caucus broke up without coming to any decision re the leadership. Mr Clarke refused to accept it, stating that he had decided to remain a private member.
