RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CIIIIISTCIIUttCIT, this day
Warm and welcome rain commenced yesterday afternoon, and it has continued steadily since. The result v>-;is that no fast work was performed at head quarters. The effect of the rainfall will tend to the improvement of the chances of a number of horses that have been sud'eiing more or less from sore feet and jarred joints. Kuroclydon and St. Coiion (who went sore yesterday), The Brook and Britomarte will be all the better for the change, but none of the quartette can be counted upon as starters.
