CARPENTERS' STRIKE.

NEW PLYMOUTH, this day.
A dispute has occurred between carpenters and builders as to payment for 47 or 48 hours. The men work 47, and demand payment for 48. About 40 men struck this morning, but it is possible an arrangement may be come to.
