BIG JEWELLERY ROBBERY.
LONDON, November 1.
The Diamond Merchants Alliance premises in Piccadilly were the scene of a daring and extensive burglary. The robbers secured ten thousand pounds worth of jewellery.

Mutton: New Zealand crossbred wethers, maiden ewes, Canterbury, 3£d per lb; Dunedin and Southland, 2 15-lfithd; North Island, 2gd. The above quotations are for «ood quality, and for lines of no less than 100 carcases. Lamb: Prime Canterbury for 32lbs to 42lbs, 3§d per lbj fair average, including Dunedin, Southland and secondary Canterbury per 321bs to 421bs, 3 5-16 th d. Quotations for lambs do not include sales of small lambs or heavies or inferior qualities. River Plate sheep, crossbreds or Merinos, wethers, heavy, 2 9-16 th d per lb ; light, 2|d. Rabbit skins are keenly competed for at an advance of from Id to 2d, everything offered being sold. Opossum skins v First quality showed a slight decline; second quality advanced 10 to 15 per cent,, and third quality 30 per cent.
