TARARU CREEK.
Tailings only were treated during the past month by this company, over 200 tons being put through the cyanide vats. The yield was bullion worth £110 7s 2d. KARAKA MINES (THAMES). A parcel of seven tons of ore from No. 1 reef has just been treated for a return of soz.7dwt melted gold, value £15 7s 7d. The reef is fully five feet in thickness. HAURAKI ASSOCIATED. The directors of this Company consider that the picked stone on view at the office of Messrs Porter and Hampson should be worth about one ounce of gold to the fiouncl. In a paragraph previously pubished the value was estimated roughly at five ounces to the pound.
