At the Assets Realisation sale held at the Wool Exchange there was a 3ar<re attendance, and good competition for several of the properties, but for the larger ones reserves, although low, could not be reached. Alfred Buckland and Sons' Report.—At tlie Haymarket meadow hay has brought from Is 6d to 2s cwt; straw, 16s to £1 5s load ; feed oats, 2s 6d ; Tartars, 3s; maize, 2s 2d bushel; pressed hay, f3; guano, £3 10s; bonedust, £6 10s ; chaff, £4 to £4 10s ton; maize on wharf, 2s bushel. On Friday horse stock brought forward in moderate number met a fair inquiry. Fairly strong draught were from £14 to £15; light harness, ±'6 to £9 each; a roadster brought £20; set harness, £5; spring cart, £5. On Tuesday hides in full number sold freely. Ox hides brought from 3Jd to 4|d; cow hides, 2|d to 3_d; calfskins, 3d to s^d lb. Tallow, lis 9d to 12s 6d cwt; fat, ljd lb. Fresh butchers' sheepskins, 4s 3d to 6s id; dry skins, 2s 6d to ss; pelts, 9d; lambs, ls to ls 4d each. At Pukekohe on Monday cattle in usual number. Dairy cows and weaned calves were better worth than last month; grown cattle relatively dull of sale. At Remuera on Thursday daily cows in less numbers than usual were at lower values. Prices ranged from £3 to £4 2s 64 •, stae cattle in fan- inquiry ; 3-year-old steers were from £3 10s to £3 17s 6d ; dry cows, £2 to £3 2s 6d ; yearling heifers, 19s to £1 6s each. Oalves in average number, 74 sold, were better worth. Fat cattle in full number 247 sold, were steady in price throughout the sale. Steers, from 17s to 18s ; cows, 14s to 16s 1001b; steers ranged in price from £6 5s to £8 10s; cows, £4 to £6 5s each. Sheep in full supply were mostly shorn and generally of good 'quality ; they were required and at higher values than at last week. Shorn wethers were from 7s 3d to 12s 9d; ewes, os to lis 3d each ; 1,500 sold. Fat lambs in greater number than last week sold briskly at from 7s to 10s each; 340 yarded. Fat pigs fully kept last week's values. Porkers were from 18s to £1 14s ; heavy pigs, up to £3 each, but store pigs were lower in price; 59 sold.

Loan and Mercantile Agency Report.— "We had a heavy catalogue at our sale on Tuesday. Hides were very firm in price, especially cow hides, which had an upward tendency in value. We quote:—Prime stout ox, sid to 6d; heavy stout ox, 4£d to 5Jd; light and medium, 3Jd to 4id ; cow, best lines, 3|d to 3§d ; we sold picked to 3#d; scored cow, 3d; kip, 2|d to 3_Jd ; calfskins in full supply, well flayed, od to 5f d; scored and heavy weights, 3£d to 4_d. Sheepskins were at about last week's rates. Large longwools, 4s 9d to 5s 6d ; medium, 3s 9d to 4s 6d ; halfbreds, 3s 3d to 4s 9d. Tallow: In better demand. Best rendered mixed sold at 12s 6d. Picked for tanners' purposes, 16s cwt. Wool: We sold medium fleece at 6d lb. Horse hair : In good demand,at Is to ls 3d lb; cow hair, 9d to to lOd lb. Bones : The market is weaker at £3 os to £3 10s ton. Oats : The market has experienced another temporary fall on account of two sailing vessels being on the way to this port with cargoes of oats. Present price is about 2s 2jd c.i.f. Maize : The market seems to have settled to 2s on the wharf, and we can look for a continuance of this rate until any outside demand arises. Chaff: Southern is selling freely at last week's rates and the little local that is in the market at about 5s per ton less. Potatoes : The market is very firm to-day at £3 7s 6d on the wharf, the Ripply not being equal to requirements.
