A very interesting match took place on the Ponsonby new ground on Saturday between Ponsonby and J. Wiseman's eleven. Wiseman's batted first, and made 33, to which Ponsonby responded with 32. Wiseman's went in again and got 60 for 8 wickets. The bowling was far superior to the batting on both sides.
