THE SHAREMARKET.
Sales of National Bank shares were made to-day at 41s with further buyers at that price. All Insurance stocks were also in demand, but gas and coal shares were mostly not asked for. In mining stocks, Imperials had firm bi^-ers at ls and Alphas at 2s, but no transaction resulted. Woodstock continue firm, 19s being offered without shares changing hands to-day. Other mining stocks showed no alteration worthy of note.
