♦ (BY HORTUS.) TO CORRESPONDENTS. if ting Narcissus Bulbs (Amateur).—lt is better for you to let your bulbs grow for a few years in the same position if possible. I do not think there is anything to be gained by lifting them. If you are compelled to lift, do not touch them till after all the foliage has been thoroughly well ripened. As long as the foliage is ripening off it is sending down into the bulb materials which will help the flowering next season. After lifting, store the bulbs in a cool airy shed. The same remarks will apply to all bulbs. isects on Chrysanthemum Leaves (A.C.) —Your letter arrived with leaf and insects, but the. latter were so crushed that it was impossible to tell what they were. Could you send another lot packed in a tin match box with a little cotton wool. I think you could easily get. rid of them if you sprayed your plants with Paris green and water. Mix at the rate of one-fourth of an ounce to four gallons of. water, keep well stirred while spraying.
