The Mount Eden Free Methodist Church celebrated its nineteenth anniversary last evening by a tea and public meeting. - A good number sat down to an enjoyable tea, provided and dispensed by the ladies of the congregation. After the tea a public ineetingVas held, at which several addresses were made by friends of the church.
A service of song, entitled "Little Minnie, or the Snnshine of a Sister's Love," was delivered last evening by the Edendale Presbyterian choir, in the Symonds-street Presbyterian schoolroom, iii aid of the funds of the new branch of St. Andrew's Sunday-school in Parnell. There was a fair audience present, and the evening was very pleasantly spent.
Last evening in the Devonport Congregational Church Dr. Wolfenden delivered his interesting lecture on " America." Mr George Fowlds presided, and there was a moderate attendance. The lecture was listened to with deep attention by those present, and was very much enjoyed.
