JUNE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Princess.—Eastern crosscut : Quartz leaders are being met with. The country is blue sandstone, and mineral veins running through it. Victoria. —No. 4 level: A little gold has been seen in the quartz in the hangingwall leader. In the leader in thestopes above No. 3 level some of the quartz shows gold at times. The improvement met with in the intermediate drive continues. A trial parcel is going through the battery and is shaping fair. Crushing will probably be finished on Wednesday afternoon.
Moanataiari Extended. — A nice looking leader was met with during the week, on the hangingwall side of the reef. May Queen Extended.—We should set the Hague Smith reef in another 15
feet of driving. The ground continues favourable for gold. Occidental.—The country is of rather a firm description. We intersected a flinty vein about one inch thick which contains minerals of a favourable character. Kaiser.—We have made good headway with crosscut, and are engaged making a paddock for 20 tons of quartz. Empress.—The reef in the stope is 18 inches wide. Colours of gold seen in the last breaking down. Waikoromiko. — Have extended the rise 10 feet in the hangingwall branch of the Plutus lode, which still gives loose dish prospects of gold by washing. Komata Triumph.—The prospector has not succeeded in discovering the lode near the south - west peg, and has now commenced a small drive to complete prospecting this spur.
