The s.s. Tarawera left for Sydney last evening. The barquentine Ocean Banger will probably be towed down to Mercury Bay to-night, to load timber for Lyttelton. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's ship Plgione arrived at Nelson yesterday from London after a passage of 100 days. The' barque Asia hauled out into the stream this morning, in readiness to depart for the Kaipara as soon as the wind is favourable. The schooner Huia is detained here, owing to the adverse wind. She sails for Kaipara as soon as the wind becomes favourable. The R.M.s. Alameda left Sydney last evening for Auckland. She is due here on Friday afternoon and leaves for 'Frisco at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The ship Oam aru, at present in Dunedin, has been ordered to Portland, Oregon, to load timber, instead of waiting here"for the wool season, as was intended. This is the second vessel ordered away in the past fortnight owing to the low freights.
