Sowing Anemone Seed (Amateur).—The best time to sow anemone seed is about the end of March or beginning- of April. The seedlings will not give you a good display of flo Avers till the second season. As you Avant a good display next season you will need to procure tubers and plant them. Any seedsman or nurseryman in Auckland will be only too happy to supply you with all you want. I do not know Avhat they cost per hundred but you can easily ascertain from their catalogues. Eucalyptus Citridora (8.8.— It has been introduced to Auckland on several occasions, but only Avith indifferent success. It is a native of South Queensland, and our own climate is not quite warm enough for it. The leaves have a strong, sweet pleasant scent, and if It could be grown here well would make a pleasant addition to our ornamental trees. It will not grow where it is subjected to much frost.
