SHIPPING COLLISION.
SCHOONER RIO BADLY DAMAGED
SYDNEY, this day
The three-masted schooner Rio, inward from Napier, while being towed, into harbour, came into collision with the lightship on the Sow and Pigs, at the entrance. The Rio was much damaged, being cut almost to the water's edge. The injuries to the lightship are superficial.
