FATAL WHARF ACCIDENT.

DEATH OF SINCLAIR,

Charles Sinclair, a lumper, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital last Monday suffering from an accident sustained 'on the Queen-street Wharf, died in that institution at 12 o'clock to-day. Sinclair was engaged in the discharge of the s.s. Westralia from Sydney, and a heavy piece of ironbark timber fell out of the slings at the ship's side and fell on him, fracturing his skull, breaking his right collar-bone and injuring some of his ribs. He gradually sank under his severe injuries untill'he expired to-day. Sinclair was 45 years of age, and he leaves a widow and young family of nine children, who reside at Arch Hill. An inquest into the cause of the fatality will be held on Monday.
