THE AVONDALE MEETING.
THE racing season of 1597-9S opens in Auckland next Saturday, when the first day's racing of the Avondale Jockey Club takes place. Last night acceptances lell due, and horse owners made a satisfactory response. The Avondale Cup has a particularly good acceptance, plainly showing that Mr Evett has done well in framing the handicap.
