The 8.8. Argyle, which has been thoroughly overhauled in the Graving Dock, wenb down to Drunken Bay on July 29 to have her compass adjuated, and in the evening she lefb for Melbourne. Messrs Elleker, who purchased the Argyle from the Northern S.S. Company, intend to run her in the Taamanian trade. Captain Waters, who came over with one of the partners to inspect the boat before the purchase, takes charge of her.

The s.B. Tokomaru, Captain Maxwell, arrived ab 11 a.m. on July 26bh from London, after a very smart trip of 50 days out. She lefb London on June 2nd, and stopped ab Holehaven to take in powder. In going down the Channel one of her engines was damaged, and the Tokomaru returned to Plymouth on the 4th, She loft there on the sth June, and had a very smooth trip oub. The Cape of Good Hope was passed on June 28th, and the vessel arrived as above. No ice was seen on the voyage out.

The barque Glenshee arrived on August 4th from Simon's Bay, Cape of Good Hope. Tho barque lefb Cardiff on February 20th for Simon's Bay with a cargo of coal for the Admiralty. She had a very bad passage out, lasting 80 days. Very contrary winds were experienced on the passage to the Cape, bub no accidents happened. The Glenshee letb Simon's Bay for Auckland in ballasb on 19th June. Strong westerly galea, which retarded the progress of the vessel greatly, wore met with until Cape Leeuin was sighted on the g,th July. From Cope Leeuin to Wilson's Promontory fine weather was 'experienced: Wilson's Promontory waa passed on tho 22nd July and a fine weather passage to the' North. Cape, .occupying 43 days,., .was, made. The North Cape was sighted on Friday evening last), and coming down the coaßb strong S.E. galeß were experienced. On Tuesday the weather moderated and port was made as above. Captain Burn has the barque in splendid trim, after her trip from the Cape. She is under charter to the New Zealand Shipping Company to load general cargo for England. The Glenshee is an iron barque of 849 tons register, and immediately after discharging her ballast, which consists of Band, she will be put on the berth for London,
