METAMMEII CAPTURED BY DERVISHES.
Cairo, August 2. Dervishes have captured Metarnmeh on the left bank of the Niie, between Omdurmat and Berber.
The Dervishes killed two thousand friendly natives. It is suspected the capture ot Metarnmeh is the result of disaffection among Soudanese officers of the native garrison.
