BANKRUPTCY.
Jas. Gray Soppett, a bankrupt, has made a sworn statement before the Official Assignee. He says thab he wenbbo Sydney in the year 1888, and returned to Auckland in 1895. Aboub six months after his return he started a business as general storekeeper ab Waiorongomai. He had no capital to start with, bub found no difficulty in getting credit. On 27th July he was requested by his creditors to file." Bankrupt states his liabilities amount to £599 7s, all unsecured, and his assets £239 10*?. Since September, 1895, he made a loss of over £15 per month
Wm. Fleming Whyfe, of Auckland, baker, and Michael McSheffrey, of Kuaotunu, contractor, have each filed a petition to be adjudged a bankrupt.
