THE PROPOSED TUNNEL.
London, June 30. Mr C. T. Ritchie, Presidenb of the Board of Trade, replying bo a deputation from bhe Belfast Chamber of Commerce, declined to recommend the Govornment to aid in the construction of a tunnel connecting Ireland with Scotland aba coab of ben million sterling. He was, however, willing to consider the plans for such a work.
