AN ACCIDENT TO THE PROPELLER,
The Huddarb-Parker steamer Anglian, from Sydney, did nob make porfc until 10 o'clock last) night, the cause of her delay being an accident to the propeller. She lefo Sydney at 7.30 p.m. on June 24th, and when aboub 600 miles had been covered, the accident occurred to the propeller, lb is believed that two of the blades wore lost, and a third broken, the remainder of the voyage having bo ba made with one propeller blade. Capo Maria Van Dieman was abeam at midnight) on the 29bb, and the North Cape was rounded at 3 a.m. yeaterday. Freah variable winda, with thick, rainy weather prevailed throughoub the passage. This afternoon a divtr will bo sent down to examine tho propeller, and bhe vessel's Southern trip has been postponed for tho presenb. She will probably be docked for repairs. An examination of the steamer Anglian'a screw made by a .divor this afternoon resulted in the discovery that two blades and a-half of tho propeller had broken off. It had nob boen definitely decided up to threo p.m. to-day, whan she would be despatched from Auckland again in continuation of her voyage.
