THE COLONIAL PREMIERS.
THE CONSTITUTION AMENDING BILL.
v London, Juno 29. Sir John Forrest consulted the other colonial Premiers iv regard to the action of the Colonial Office in withholding the Queen's assent to the Constitution Amending Bill, the provisions of which have reference to the control of aborigines.
The Premiers have authorised Sir John Forrest to speak on their behalf at the conference ol colonial officials, and urge that prompt assent should be given to the Bill.
On the occasion of the visit of the colonial troops to the Lyceum Theatre Sir Henry Irving held a reception, which was attended by Mr Reid and the other Premiers and their wives.
