Paeroa, thia day. Final returns in tho licensing election are now in. The five highesb are: Campbell, 972 ; McClelland, 841 ; Dickey. 739 ; Gavin, 668; Edwards, 552. Thia represents the moderate ticket. The bigheab of temperance parby were: Whitehead (521), and Bagnall (493). The acow Bravo arrived ab the Railway Wharf yeßterday from Kaipara, with 150,000 feeb kauri for Mr James McAndrew. The public worua engine will arrive in Paeroa bo-morrow (Sunday), in order to assiab in tho work of conatruction of the railway Trom Paeroa towardß the Thamee. The bridge work and laying of sleepers have been going on for some time under bhe direction of Mr Stewarb, Railway Engineer, assisted by Mr Thomaa Shaw, Foreman of Worke.
