At a meeting of master tailors held last niehb ib was decided thab before ,f.urther discussing bbc log proposed by the Tailors' Union the Union be requested to excise from the log the following stipulations :— "(1) Thab Union mon have a preemptive righb to employment. (2) Thab only one day's wage man and ono apprentice bo employed in any shop ; and (3) That the minimum weekly wage be three pounds." This resolution will bo submitted to a meeting of Union representatives this afternoon with a view of Retting thani to agree to ib. Ib is not likely thab any agreement will be arrived at, consequently the matters will be dealt with by tho Conciliation Board.
