On receiving notice of delivery of sleepers on proper form (obtainable at the Railway Stations, Auckland, Newmarket, Pukekohe, and Helensville), the Resident Engineer. Auckland, will send an Inspector to pass and brand the sleepers, and for such as pass inspection payment will be made'within twentyeight days, or as near as may be, of the Storekeeper's certificate. Condemned sleepers must be removed within fourteen days of notice from the Inspector, failing which they will be forfeited, and become the property of the Railway Department.
