FAREWELL TO REV. T.W. VEALIE.

A yertc large meeting of the congregatoiq was held at the new church, Kingeland, last evening, to Bay good-bye to their late pastor, who has laboured with much euccoas in the district during the past three years.

Mr R. C. YVhitham occupied the chair, and explained I but they had met together to say.good-bye feo two Of the Pitt-street circuib ministers—Rev. if. Bull (Superintendent) and Rev. T. W. Vealie. Short addresses were delivered by Messrs J. W. Bridgmaa, G. A. Buttle, and llev. J. Smith, each speaker bearing testimony to theeo ministers' successful work, and ths esteem ia which they were bold by the people. Mr Hodgson was then called upon to aho«v on behalf of the trustee* and congregation their practical appreciation of tbe two ministers who bad rendered such valuable assistance in bringing about the erection of she Trinity WesleyanCb arch at Kings* land. Rev. H, Bull, who has on two occasions acted tie superintendent of the circuib with marked ability, was presented with a large and beautifully framed photosflrapli of the church with suitable inscriptions v a souvenir of the dedicatory service. The recipient having overcome this pleasant "eurpriae" delivered an interesting account of his labours in various parts of tite colony. The following presentations were bben made to tbe late pastor, Rev, T. W. Vealie. An interesting ior.cer from the Esdeavour Society waa read and presented by Misi Berry. The members ot the Ladies' Guild; through their President, Mrs J. Ciarke, also preßsnted a large and handsome photograph of the new church, suitably inwsnbed, as a souvenir. Mr Hodgson, on bibalf of the church in all departments, presented the Rev. T. W\ Vealie with a porte of sovereigns. The reverend gontleman very feelingly acknowledged these " coiiipleW BurpriseSj" and said that from his various experiences during tbe past three years be felt he had been, providentially led Co Kingsland.

A splendid musical programme- waf rendered by the choir and orchestra under, bho able leadership of Mr J. Bouekili, and Mr Higiioto'B noio, "The Holy City," w»* much appreciated. The Secretary of ibo choir, Mr C. W. Kayes, took the oppor-, fcuuity of presenting their late cundoctor, Mr U. C. Whithain, with a huu^wwna silver-mounted walking stick suitably in* scribed. Mr Whitham having acknowledged the gift the congregstiou joined in singing "God Ba With You Till We Meet Again " and the Benediction pronaunced by the Rev. T. W. Vealie cloee«t a happy »»a successful meeting.
