Woodvtxle, this day. Mr Frank Leckie, of the Government! Insurance Office, Wellington, who is on a cycling tour, was riding through tho Manawabu Gorge yesterday, aboub 5.30 p.m., when his machine struck a boulder in the middle of the road and wonb over tha bank. Mr Leckie caught the branches of a tree half way down, and landed on the«dpa of a rock, escaping unhurt. The machine wonb to the bottom and was badly smashed.
