TO-DAY'S PROCEEDINGS. Paeroa, bhie day. At the Warden's Courb bo-day, beforo Mr &S. Bush, Warden, Hie Worship gave judgment in tho case of A. E. Singleton v. *< S, Budgo, on a plaint for forfeiture of
the Dickson's Lead claim at Owharoa. Mr Clendon, for defendant, had raised cerbain preliminary objecbions ; first, that bhe proceedings were nob in proper form, and second bhat all parties interested in the claims were nob joined in suib. His Worship dismissed the firsb objection, but upheld the second, as he held thab all bhe parties who were in any way connected with bhe case should be joined, and Messrs Fleming and Morrin, according to the books of the Warden's office, had an intereeb. Mr Moss appeared for complainant. The complaint was dismissed againsb Dickson's Load, Nos. 1, 2,3, 4, and 5, wibh cosbs in each case. Applications Granbed.— Express G.M. Company, six monbhs' prottfcbion for waber righb No. 154; Waihi Sphinx Company, permission bo work Cleopatra, Cleopabra's Neodle, and Beabrice claims wibh one man each for four months; C. S. Stone, permission to work the Caversbam claim with two men for four months. Six months' protecbion was granted for waber race 163 bo the Martha Extended Company ; to Thomas E. Fitzgerald, for Nimmo Extended claim, Karangahake. PLAINTS for forfeiture. Mining Registrar v. C. B. Stone : Plaint for iorfeiture of Cavorsham claim for nonpayment ot rent.—Mr Kenrick, for do-" fendanb, pleaded guilby, and defendanb was finod 40s and Co3ts. Mining Registrar v. Thomas Corbebt : Plainb for forfeiture of the Silverstream claim for non-paymenb of rent.—No appearance of defendanb.—Fined 40a and costs 13s. Samuel Kennedy v. J. H. Smith, plaint for forfeibure of Tenilba, special claim for non ■ working and non-paymenb of renb, forfeibure decreed and complainanb declared firsb applicanb, bhe facts being admitted by defendant. In the case of A. Thomas and J. McWilliams v. Charles McLean, claim for a number of shares and cash in tho Waihi Consolidated mine, Messrs Cotter and Cooper acted for the parties respectively, and setbled bhe case oub of Court.
