H.M.S. KATOOMBA.
Tha tmn-Bcrew cruiser Katoomba, Capb J. E. Meryon, arrived from Akaroa shortly after 6 o'clock last evening, dropping anchor tiff the Queen-street Wkarf. Fine weather prevailed throughout the trip up the coast. She will remain ia port until March 2nd, when she leaves for Sydney, to replace the Mildura as reserve ship. The crew will be paid off in Sydney, a new crew coming out from England in April. The officers of the Katoomba are the same as when she was here last, with the exception that Mr Craddock haa been promoted to tha position of paymaster on H.M,s. Fouguin.
