THE SHAREMARKET.
Business waa better on the Exchange today, there being freer sales, particularly in Lower Thames stocks. Evidently the reef recently cut in the Alburnia East mine is looking well, aa those shares continue in steady demand, transactions being reported to-day at Is 3d. Nonpareils had a run, in consequence ef a goid-bßaring reef being cub. Shares advanced ia price, and sold freely from ild to Is Id. Yiccoriaa were firmer, and lines sold up to 33 7d tho market closing with steady buyers at 3a 6d., In Upper Thames shares the most noticablo feature was transactions in Woodsfcocks at 47s and 48s in the No. 2 association. Several lines of Crowns have alao changed hands during the week, bub the ealaa were nob quoted. Waihi Siivertona are still asked for at 21s 6d, and Waibekauria are offered at 925, notwithstanding the declaration of the dividend, Coromandel and Kuaotunu stocks did nob receive much attention to-day. Bunker Hills sold aB low as 4s 9d, at which price, however, there were still buyers.
