In tho Petono murder-case, Mrs Palmer deposed tbab, on the day ot tha murder, Bosher came to her place ab Taiba, and said bhe reason he bad called at Jones's waa to geb a parcel of books for her which the murdered man bad promised to send. Subsequently, she found thab the books had been in the possession of the accused for somo time.
