In fche House of Commons, Mr Chamberlain, replying bo Mr Hogan, said if Cenfcral Queensland has no prospects of early relief by the federation of the colonies due to the voluntary action of Queensland in .-banding oub of the forthcoming Convention, the Queen, albhough having power to croabe a colony while ib formed parb of New Soubh Wales territory, was without power to subdivide Queensland.
