The reef from which assays were taken in tbia mine, especially oro producing an assay of £6 per ton, ia a strong body measuring between 3 and 4 foet thick, and at one period it produced a return by the old babtery system equal to one ounce to the ton. Tbe point where the assay material was broken oub is much beyond" where the original workers operated, and at a groaber depth from bhe surface.
