In the course of proceedings ab bha Warden's Courb yesterday, the Warden stated that be had received from the Survey Office a completed plan of the Whangamata township, but before any site can be granted, it will be requisite to get rid of Stephen's ocenpation license, fie understood that Stephen's would offer no opposition, and possibly would surrender at once. As soon as tbab ocenpation iiceme is cleared away one month's notice will .be given that persons can peg oat sections ef bhe township and apply for them ab the first sibting of the Court. When giving bhab nobice all applications for sites now pending will be dismissed, so thatall may start fair and peg oat the sections they desire Biter inspecting the map. Tbe following additional applications were granted:—F. H. Whalley, water race, Tairua; F. W. Abbott, machine site and water race, Whangamata; 3. Stevenson, water race, Pungateringa Creek j Patrick Quinlan, water race, Tairoa. In tbe case of an official of tbe Warden's Court who applied for a mining area, the Warden abated that he would greab no holding to a departmental officer. The application was adjourned bo allow bhe applicanb to dispose of all interest therein.
